What one, tiny little idea will explode into the adventure of your lifetime?
Essentially, I’m asking, what will be your mouse. Walt Disney was one of the greatest imagineers of our time. He started as a simple advertising designer and worked his way through the corporate world before doodling his very first cartoon. And the rest… is history.
All it takes is one step to begin the rest of your life. To begin your great adventure. I’ll never forget sitting at my desk at the University of South Florida reading Lara’s blog post about how to make things happen when I decided it was time to make my first step. I entered her contest to win a seat at the very first Making Things Happen intensive in Watercolor, Florida. And a few short weeks later, there I sat… starting the biggest chapter of my life thus far.
One of our favorite quotes is by Karen Lamb… “A year from now you’ll wish you’d started today.” I’ve received DOZENS of emails with nervous questions, contemplations and thoughts about “should I go to Making Things Happen”…. “How do I know if I’m ready…” or “Will I be a good fit for this, I’m just a Mom”
Do it.
You will never regret taking this step for yourself. I haven’t. It was the strength, courage and JOY I found in myself at Making Things Happen that led me to not only create two booming businesses and join the MTH team but also solidified my family and my home as we prepared to become a party-of-three.
